Buddha Jayanti Park

Buddha GardenBuddha Garden

The Buddha Garden otherwise known locally as the Buddha Jayanti Park is a more modern garden and has very interesting theme attached to it. It was created in a fan fair of celebration marking the 2500th anniversary of Lord Buddha and is a place of enjoyment and pilgrimage with a spiritual twist. The special point about this park is that it has planted within it a sapling brought from Sri-Lanka which is said to be from the Bodhi tree that Lord Buddha Meditated under and so is revered by Buddhists from all over the World as a religious site. Many have a warm sentiment for this holy place with such a natural feel to it. Many Buddhism classes are held here and although children are welcome, pets are not allowed to roam around as they might damage the parks and for other obvious reasons.
