Lal Qila - Old Delhi
The Red Fort known locally as the Lal Qina was constructed by the Emperor Shah Jahan when he moved the then capital from Agra to Delhi. To celebrate this even the Red Fortress was built by this red coloured sandstone that it is famous for. There are two entrances that guard the Fort and one of them faces what is famously known as the Chandni Chowk, Delhi's great marketplace filled with bazaars and delights to entice you into bringing a few souvenirs back home to Loved ones.
